GERL has a complete analytical laboratory for performing precision environmental lab work and a vadose zone research lab for physical and hydraulic testing of unsaturated soils. We also maintain a fully equipped direct-push truck, capable of multi-mode probe deployment; and a fully instrumented mesoscale test bed for testing new in-situ soils instrumentation.

By applying expertise along the entire circle of discovery from field to laboratory and back, we are able to make significant advances in understanding subsurface phenomena.
